About Duke and The American Dream

Duke Oursler is an American heartland singer/songwriter from Macomb Illinois. His thoughtful, honest and direct lyrics speak to midwestern life and experience. Dukes's songs are rooted in the Illinois banks of the Mississippi river. His unique brand of river rock speaks to both the tumultuous floods and hard working blue collar life on the Mississippi, contrasting against unifying stories of love and friendship as the calm and smooth as the pools and eddies of the big river. With honesty, authenticity and whit, Duke and his band deliver tight harmonies and an energetic live performance belting stories of midwestern life and love in America's heartland. Duke has been writing and playing his original music for the past two decades in Illinois and Iowa. He has shared the stage with many regional and national acts such as Hello Dave, Miles Nielsen and The Rusted Hearts, Chicago Farmer, Broseph, Brushville, Jason Walsmith and others. Duke will be releasing his upcoming project titled (Duke and The American Dream) this fall featuring the singles "Bootstraps" and "Set Me Free".

Joe Stamm Band

Joe Stamm Band

Joe Stamm Band’s newest country-rock album is as brutally authentic as the Midwestern plains and people that inspire these songs. A year-round working musician, Stamm has become something of an anthropologist of the tiny towns dotting middle America. Thanks to his fondness for this so-called flyover country, and his crew of down-home troubadours, Stamm has created the soundtrack to the heart of America: Midwest Town (release date 9-10-21).

JSB, established in 2013, offers distinct storytelling mixed with a signature Black Dirt Country Rock sound - a sound that Stamm defines as “a nod to our Midwestern roots, as well as the Red Dirt music scene, which has had a big influence on our music.” Fans can expect the fearless Black Dirt Country Rock sound from Dave Glover’s inventive lead guitar, Bruce Moser’s fortifying bass, and Tim Fiers’ heart-pounding drums on the new album…

Red Woody

www.redwoody.com/

Since its inception in 1999, Red Woody has been redefining what a cover band is all about. There were a couple things we wanted to focus on that would separate us from the other cover bands in the area. First…… play songs that the people want to hear. We felt there were too many bands playing solely 80’s rock, or just classic rock. Red Woody’s philosophy-there are great songs from every decade, why not play them? Some of the Artists we cover are Journey, Matchbox 20, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Bryan Adams, Goo Goo Dolls, AC/DC, Mellencamp, Luke Bryan, Bruno Mars, Poison, Skynyrd, Black Keys, Kenny Chesney, Petty, the Killers, the Stones…..In a word….diversity. Secondly……we wanted every show to be a party. At a Red Woody show, we want you to feel like you are in the front row of your favorite concert. Have fun!!! We know that free time is sometimes limited, and there are a lot of choices you could make as to what to do with your Saturday night. If you choose to spend it with us…..know that we are going to do everything in our power to help you let loose and leave that daily grind behind. Questions still?? Just come out and see a show!!!!!

Funktional Family

Got Funk?

One hot fourth of July in 1998 at a wild keger a guitarist/songwriter, straggler/guitarist and two singing sisters crossed paths only to discover the obvious, we could play music together. Down our stone road we stumbled across a man who knew how to keep it real low, another who could keep the flow, and one with the focus of the direction to go. We were quite funktional together, and so a bad-ass funky blues rock band was formed. After a decade we're still going strong!
