Old Shoe is a five-piece Americana Roots Rock band based out of Chicago, Illinois. Made up of talented songwriters from across the country, hailing from as far away as Alaska, the band's compositions paint a diverse landscape of American life.

I sing, play, and write Americana Roots music. I love the soulful opera like growl of Otis Rush; I love the deep emotional croon of Waylon Jennings, I dig the syncopated perfectly placed licks of Steve Cropper, the rhythm and groove of Jessie Ed Davis, or the half time beat of Ritchie Albright's perfectly placed kick-drum; I love the blazing pedal steel guitar of Buddy Emmons, and the masterful picking of Chet Atkins; I greatly respect the talented songwriting of Hank Williams, Kris Kristofferson, Billy Joe Shaver, Harlan Howard, Merle Haggard, Bill Withers, Issac Hayes, and Willie Dixon; The list goes on and on... I only hope that I can take all of the inspiration from the music I love and do it justice in songs of my own. I hope you enjoy my music.
