bringing the nation dave matthews for close to twenty  years

Born in the pubs on the north side of Chicago, reminiscent of Luther’s College, Trippin Billies took to the “stages” of these small rooms in the early nineties as an acoustic duo. It wasn’t long before lines grew to long for the small bars and calls started coming in from around the Midwest. As a result the band was forced to rise to the occasion, and they’ve done just that. Having the luxury of living in a city called home to many great musicians, Trippin Billies is comprised of some of Chicago’s best. This talent coupled with their mutual love of high energy performance has moved them above the bar band circuit and into concert settings. Whether it’s a club in Iowa City, a Hockey arena in North Dakota or a summer festival in Rochester, New York or Lincoln, Nebraska, the show is always the same, just that, a show.

Their tour schedules have come to resemble that of the Dave Matthews Band before their ascension to their current status. Midsize venues sell out consistently across the country and the famous theatres whose names were once inked on the cover of DMB boot legs listened to by the band, now comprise the tour schedule of Trippin Billies. The theatres they once approached with trepidation and awe have now come to feel like home.

Way Down Wanderers with Kevin Presbery

thewaydownwanderers.com/

Equal parts fast-paced and soulful, 5-piece modern-folk Americana act, The Way Down Wanderers, draw in listeners with energy, originality and soulful generosity. Playing, performing and writing together for just over 2 years, the Wanderers have built an enthusiastic and fast-growing following across the country, earning Deli Magazine's Readers Choice title of “Chicago’s Best Emerging Artist, 2014.”

Youthful and professionally trained, these young men captivate audiences with soaring instrumentals, foot stomping sing-alongs and a lively stage show and have created a buzz for themselves with their unplugged, off-stage encores and propensity for performing self-titled, “restSTOMPS” - free acoustic sets at rest & truck stops along their tour routes. The band’s debut EP, "Path to Follow” and their brand new live EP, “Wellspring” are available wherever music is sold. The Way Down Wanderers first full-length album is due to release in the Spring or Summer of 2016.

www.kevinpresbrey.com

Ukulele infused rootsy folk rock is one way of describing the vibration Kevin Presbrey is casting out there these days, but you could also very well say that his songs have a way of giving you that cozy feeling of being snuggled up by the fireplace in your favorite hooded sweatshirt. He's warm and familiar to you. Embracing the influences of storytellers Jim Croce, Don McLean, and Van Morrison along with modern troubadours Ryan Adams and James Bay, Presbrey's midwestern sound and personality is the vehicle for the stories he lives and shares.

Michael Enguita (lead vocal, guitar). Pat Shannon (drums, vocals),
Steve Jackson (bass, vocals), and Carlos Suarez Del Real (lead guitar) are
Backyard Cohort. Born in the south side suburbs of Chicago, BC has
been playing their brand of acoustic jam rock at fine pubs and
historic venues since 2005. Backyard Cohort turns heads with their
distinguished looks, big personalities, and a collective propensity to
blow fans minds!

Backyard Cohort first came together shortly after founding member and
front man, Michael Enguita, started playing a weekly gig at a pub in
Orland Park, IL. After inviting Pat and Steve to join him, it became
clear that a band was coming together. This residency lasted for two
and a half years, giving the guys time to gel as a band and write
original material. It was not long before fans started to request the
tracks “Bridge,” “New Shoes,” “Fallacy,” and “Mr. Baker.”

Michael Enguita is an engaging front man with a passion for music and
the rare ability to win over the crowd. Pat Shannon’s playful
demeanor and skillful drumming make him the beating
heart of the band. Steve Jackson completes the rhythm section with his
ardent musicianship while contributing his lively stage presence to
every performance. The newest member to join the BC family, Carlos produces a sonic fury on lead guitar that is a highlight of every Backyard Cohort show and has revitalized
a stalwart of the Chicago music scene.

BC released their debut album "Ride" 9/30/14, recorded at Rax Trax Recording, Chicago IL with Engineer and Producer Rick Barnes. This highly anticipated release puts BC on the calendar for more shows, so stay tuned!

Got Funk?

One hot fourth of July in 1998 at a wild keger a guitarist/songwriter, straggler/guitarist and two singing sisters crossed paths only to discover the obvious, we could play music together. Down our stone road we stumbled across a man who knew how to keep it real low, another who could keep the flow, and one with the focus of the direction to go. We were quite funktional together, and so a bad-ass funky blues rock band was formed. After a decade we're still going strong!
