Michael Enguita (lead vocal, guitar). Pat Shannon (drums, vocals),
Steve Jackson (bass, vocals), and Carlos Suarez Del Real (lead guitar) are
Backyard Cohort. Born in the south side suburbs of Chicago, BC has
been playing their brand of acoustic jam rock at fine pubs and
historic venues since 2005. Backyard Cohort turns heads with their
distinguished looks, big personalities, and a collective propensity to
blow fans minds!

Backyard Cohort first came together shortly after founding member and
front man, Michael Enguita, started playing a weekly gig at a pub in
Orland Park, IL. After inviting Pat and Steve to join him, it became
clear that a band was coming together. This residency lasted for two
and a half years, giving the guys time to gel as a band and write
original material. It was not long before fans started to request the
tracks “Bridge,” “New Shoes,” “Fallacy,” and “Mr. Baker.”

Michael Enguita is an engaging front man with a passion for music and
the rare ability to win over the crowd. Pat Shannon’s playful
demeanor and skillful drumming make him the beating
heart of the band. Steve Jackson completes the rhythm section with his
ardent musicianship while contributing his lively stage presence to
every performance. The newest member to join the BC family, Carlos produces a sonic fury on lead guitar that is a highlight of every Backyard Cohort show and has revitalized
a stalwart of the Chicago music scene.

BC released their debut album "Ride" 9/30/14, recorded at Rax Trax Recording, Chicago IL with Engineer and Producer Rick Barnes. This highly anticipated release puts BC on the calendar for more shows, so stay tuned!

The Trippin Billies

bringing the nation dave matthews for close to twenty  years

Born in the pubs on the north side of Chicago, reminiscent of Luther’s College, Trippin Billies took to the “stages” of these small rooms in the early nineties as an acoustic duo. It wasn’t long before lines grew to long for the small bars and calls started coming in from around the Midwest. As a result the band was forced to rise to the occasion, and they’ve done just that. Having the luxury of living in a city called home to many great musicians, Trippin Billies is comprised of some of Chicago’s best. This talent coupled with their mutual love of high energy performance has moved them above the bar band circuit and into concert settings. Whether it’s a club in Iowa City, a Hockey arena in North Dakota or a summer festival in Rochester, New York or Lincoln, Nebraska, the show is always the same, just that, a show.

Their tour schedules have come to resemble that of the Dave Matthews Band before their ascension to their current status. Midsize venues sell out consistently across the country and the famous theatres whose names were once inked on the cover of DMB boot legs listened to by the band, now comprise the tour schedule of Trippin Billies. The theatres they once approached with trepidation and awe have now come to feel like home.

Got Funk?

One hot fourth of July in 1998 at a wild keger a guitarist/songwriter, straggler/guitarist and two singing sisters crossed paths only to discover the obvious, we could play music together. Down our stone road we stumbled across a man who knew how to keep it real low, another who could keep the flow, and one with the focus of the direction to go. We were quite funktional together, and so a bad-ass funky blues rock band was formed. After a decade we're still going strong!

Adam Ezra

www.adamezra.com/

Adam Ezra Group’s songwriting is making waves around the country.

The co-write, “Let Your Hair Down” with producers Shep Goodman and Aaron Accetta, (American Authors), just received “Song of the Year” at the New England Music Awards. A songwriting partnership with the legendary John Oates is taking Ezra back and forth between Nashville and tour. The theme song, “Grow Your Own Way,” was central to Midwest insurance giant, Country Financial’s 2014/15 marketing campaign. In addition, Adam Ezra’s debut efforts in movie scoring have lead to an appearance at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival and the release of Adam Ezra Group’s new album, aptly titled, Songs for a Movie.

This 16 song marathon studio production is the culmination of three years of writing, planning, arranging, and recording for the independent film release, “Folk Hero & Funny Guy.” Much of the writing and recording occurred while on tour; in hotel rooms, hallways, green rooms, and while literally driving the American highways often referenced within the album.

A tireless touring outfit, the Adam Ezra Group (AEG) played upwards of 200 shows in 2015, often devoting their time to local charities and always going out of their way to connect with fans. The Group is made up of lead singer, songwriter and guitarist, Adam Ezra, Alex Martin on drums, Turtle on percussion, Corinna Smith on fiddle, Francis Hickey on bass and Josh Gold on keys. Together they are creating a powerful, inclusive community around AEG shows that is beginning to be compared to a social-movement as much as a traditional music fan-base. It’s this dedication to fans that inspired the 2016 “Get Folked Concert Tour” in which Ezra ventured solo/acoustic to the homes of 30 fans in as many days and almost as many states to play house concerts throughout the entire month of January.

Ezra started his own non-profit organization called RallySound in order to better support fans and activists dedicated to making the world a better place. The proceeds from the video for the latest single “Let Your Hair Down” are being donated toward micro-grants for cancer patients struggling to make ends meet while in treatment. The Adam Ezra Group hosts a free festival each year called The Ramble. Last year over 3,000 people came out, and another 2,000 people tuned in via livestreaming from around the country and they raised money to help build a handicap accessible home for a wounded veteran.

Throughout the rest of 2016 The Adam Ezra Group will be on the road throughout The United States, playing music from Songs for a Movie, and working on their next studio release, slated to drop within the next year.

While the guitar provides the pallet for the songs, it is carried by the back bone of the washtub bass and jug. On top of that you will hear anything from banjo- mandolin to banjo- guitar and maybe even a little kazoo.
